This is my BLOG on adding scrapbooking to your journaling as opposed to adding journaling to your scrapbooking. I think that it is more soul baring and therapeutic to journal with the visual aid of photographs or whatever you want to put on a scrap layout.
I have been surfing around and reading some scrap blogs. Most of them say little and give away much. Forgive me if I am wrong, but I thought the purpose of a blog was to say something. If they are used as a diary, some of these people have very dull lives, or are scared to expose themselves.
I can relate to the reluctance to hang it all out on the web, but if that is the case, why not just have a freebie site somewhere?
I would like to see more blogs geared toward teaching people how to get more journaling into their scrap layouts and possibly discussing design principles. Personally, I don’t have time to read alot of stuff going on in other peoples lives. When I do have some free time, I would prefer to be scrapping, reading or writing.
I am constantly seeking information on whatever subject that interests me for the moment.
In other words, I self educate. I have become pretty good at gathering information and putting it in a usable order. I am not sure how I can do this on the blogger system, but I am going to put up journaling promts and links to tutorials. I may still add links for freebies, but that would only be as a secondary purpose.
Since I am preaching journaling, I will upload some of my layouts I have done that are in the form of diary entries over a scrapbook layout, just to prove it can be done. Introspective Scrapping 
I just thought I would thank you for the comment you left on my blog. That was quite nice. I do try to find the best quotes that are out there, some funny, some that are educational while still others may provoke some thoughts by the reader. Bush is forever saying that democracies do not invade other countries and start wars. Well, he did just that. He invaded Iraq, started a war, and killed people. What do you think? Is killing thousands of innocent civilians okay when you are doing a little government makeover?
Our country is in debt until forever, we don’t have jobs, and we live in fear. We have invaded a country and been responsible for thousands of deaths.
We have lost friends and influenced no one. No wonder most of the world thinks we suck. Thanks to what george bush has done to our country during the past three years, we do!
If memory serves me correctly, Saddam was just executed for war crimes. That in itself implies that war existed in Iraq before we got there. I had civics in high school and we learned about what the United Nations was set up for, and despite the fact that some don’t like it, the US has a responsibility to keep world peace and to protect countries which cannot defend themselves. That is why they call them UN Peacekeeping duties. We are not killing innocent civilians.
The insurgents are doing that, just as Saddam did before we got there. I imagine it is possible, but not probable that a few people have been caught in the crossfire, but then why don’t they try to run out the insurgents themselves. If the Iraquis aren’t part of the solution, they are the problem.
We live in fear due to terrorists, having previously attacked us, not because we fight back. The money thing and no jobs doesn’t cut it with a true humanitarian. I am not well off, but I still find it in my heart to help others. Your logic says that until we are all well off, we shouldn’t try to help other countries who are not as fortunate as ours is.
As for the deaths we are supposedly responsible for, I suppose if we had stayed home and allowed SoDamm Ugly to keep using nerve gas on his people, and fund terrorist groups, we wouldn’t have been responsible for those deaths?
George Bush is a man of his convictions. He believes that he should do what is morally correct even when unpopular. That is what a leader does. They do not bow to the wishes of others who are of lesser conviction and moral fortitude.
We have influenced intelligent beings by standing up for the under dogs when most of the world lacking in intestinal fortitude, wanted us to hang them out to dry. Maybe some day you will find yourself compelled to stand up for someone or something and then you will be able to picture doing that on a global scale.

You will see that terrorist attacks on Americans have been happening all over the world since 1990 and that they happened long before we went to Iraq or Afghanistan. At least 100 attacks, but since we have taken an active defensive mode, they have happened less frequently. To me that is a good reason for us to stand up for ourselves in the world. American citizens should be able to travel.
When Ifirst moved to WordPress from Blogger I had difficulty getting the hang of uploading images here too. But once you master the interface it’s pretty good. ifind the key thing is to do a save of your post just prior to sending your picture to the editor otherwise it doesn’t seem to work.
